The following account types are available through Ignite Investing:

Traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs, Rollover IRAs, Joint and Individual accounts.

Below are lists of account types you might find available to you elsewhere:

  • Accounts that may be offered by an employer:

    • Accounts with preferential tax treatment:: 401(k), Roth 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), 457, TSA, Defined Benefit Plan (Pension in the traditional terminology), SIMPLE IRA Plan, SEP IRA Plan

  • Accounts that may be opened at a third party custodian such as Charles Schwab or Vanguard by self-employed individuals:

    • These accounts offer preferential tax treatment: Solo 401(k), SEP IRA

  • Accounts that may be opened at a third party custodian such as Charles Schwab or Vanguard by anyone:

    • These accounts offer preferential tax treatment: Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, Rollover IRA.

    • These accounts do NOT offer preferential tax treatment: Individual, Joint or Community Property, Trust
